Water Testing
Testing the water is very important to ensure a safe swimming environment and fully functioning Pool or Spa/Hot Tub. This should generally be done at least once a week (or more often with high usage and adverse weather) and before adding chemicals. You can never test your Pool or Spa/Hot Tub water too much and essentially means the healthier it will be.
When testing, you should be checking the following chemical levels;
- Chlorine/Bromine
- pH
- Total Alkalinity
- Calcium Hardness
- Cyanuric Acid
There are several types of testers:
- Test Strips – simplest and easiest way to test your water, dip the test strip in the water and then hold it to the test pot to match the colours and measure the levels.
- Test Kit - manual test using Test Tablets and Reagents.
- Digital Test Strips – dip and insert test strip into machine for results.
- Tintometer – colour through glass test.
We offer a computer based water test so pop in with a sample and we can test it for you within a few minutes.
